Joseph A. Boystak

Chairman

Joe is a healthcare venture capitalist and senior healthcare investment banker having been Founding Managing Partner at Health2047 Capital Partners and Founding Managing Director, Global Life Sciences at Jefferies. He is CEO of Brightwaters Capital and is co-founder/investor in biomedical, med tech, health information technology, and artificial intelligence companies with spinouts from UCLA, Johns Hopkins, Harvard/Massachusetts General Hospital, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, among others. Boystak is named co-inventor on five issued U.S./EU patents for first-in-class medical technology developed by Bruin Biometrics LLC, a company he co-founded. He has served on more than a dozen corporate and non-profit boards and currently serves on the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and Southern California Biomedical Council (SoCalBio) Boards. 

Joe received his BA, cum laude, from Boston University; his MHS from Johns Hopkins; and Executive Education from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Rose Higgins

Board Member

Rose Higgins is CEO of Dr.Evidence. Higgins was most recently CEO of HealthMyne, a pioneering radiomics company whose IP and technology assets were acquired by Genentech (a Roche company) in 2022. She began her career in nursing at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, followed by advancing roles in clinical and care management. Transitioning to leadership in healthcare IT organizations, Higgins took on executive roles with increasing responsibility in organizations including McKesson Corporation and SCIO Health Analytics (acquired by EXL Service Holdings) over a successful 20-year period. Higgins is known for her results-oriented approach, deep domain knowledge, and client satisfaction.

Rose received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Duquesne University, and her Master of Public Management from Carnegie Mellon University.

Nick Hyde

Board Member

Nick is a partner and co-founder of Wormhole Capital.  In addition to managing Wormhole's portfolio and leading new investments, Nick serves on the board of directors of Credo and Dr.Evidence.  Prior to Wormhole, Nick was the managing partner and co-founder of Mendacre, a seed fund founded in 2017 that has invested in several early-stage technology companies across the United States.  Nick began his career as a corporate attorney at Slaughter and May in London and Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP in New York, where he focused on public and private mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings and follow-on offerings, private equity and venture capital.

Nick received a BA with Honors from Durham University, and a Graduate Diploma in Law (GPL) with Distinction and an Accelerated Legal Practice Course (LPC) with Commendation from BPP Law School.

Ted Meisel

Board Member

Ted is an investor, entrepreneur and operator working to accelerate the change in our healthcare system towards patient-centered, value-based, clinician-friendly and digital-first. He is executive founder of AVIA Health Innovation, a consulting firm to over fifty of the nation’s largest healthcare systems. He is Executive Chairman of WiserCare, which enables clinicians to help patients reach decisions faster, with greater precision, satisfaction and productivity. Ted is also Director at healthfinch, a prescription renewal platform which automates routine clinical tasks performed by primary care clinicians. In addition, Ted is a Director of Caravan Health, which serves 25k clinicians and 600k patients of the nation’s most effective accountable care organizations.

Ted received a BA from Dartmouth College and a Juris Doctorate from Stanford Law School.

Ananth Bhogaraju

Board Member

Ananth Bhogaraju served as Managing Director and Head of the Healthcare Services Investment Banking practice at Deutsche Bank prior to becoming Vice Chairman of the Americas Healthcare Investment Banking Group. Previously, Ananth worked at Credit Suisse First Boston where he served on the firm’s North American Investment Banking Committee and the Global Business Development Council. In 2015, Ananth founded Seven Hills Healthcare Advisors, a modern merchant bank focused on serving the global healthcare industry. Over the course of his 23-year investment banking career, Ananth has executed over 200 M&A and capital markets transactions in the United States, Europe, Latin America and Asia representing an aggregate transaction value in excess of $75 billion.

Ananth received his BA from Northwestern University with dual majors in Economics and Political Science and his MBA from The University of Chicago, Booth School of with dual concentrations in Finance and Accounting.

Larry Burstein

Larry has been the Chairman and President of Unity Venture Capital Associates Ltd., since March 1996. Larry received a BA in Economics from the Concordia University of Wisconsin and an L.L.B. from Columbia Law School.

 

Todd Feinman

Board Member

Dr. Feinman cofounded Dr.Evidence in 2004. A graduate of the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California (UCLA Medical School), Los Angeles, he completed his internship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, and his residency in Internal Medicine at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, California. Dr. Feinman specialized in Hospitalist Medicine, and he helped develop the first Hospitalist programs at FHP Hospital, Queen of the Valley Hospital and Cedars-Sinai Medical Group. At Dr.Evidence, Dr. Feinman is responsible for all things related to the medical accuracy of the platform and product offerings.

Dr. Feinman received a BS from UCLA and an MD from UCLA School of Medicine.
